The MP Network assembly line produces precon dropcore, patchcords and pigtails to your project's requirements, from length and connector type to the label on the box. Every unit is tested before packing.

How we assemble
The six stages every precon, patchcord and pigtail goes through before it reaches your warehouse.

Cut and strip
Cable is cut to the ordered length, then the jacket and coating are stripped precisely.

Fit the connector
The fiber is set into the ferrule with epoxy, then the connector housing is assembled.

Curing
The epoxy is hardened in a curing oven so the fiber is locked firmly in the ferrule.

Polishing
The ferrule tip is polished in stages to a UPC or APC finish.

End-face inspection
Each connector face is checked under a microscope for scratches and contamination.

Test, label and pack
Every unit is tested for insertion loss and return loss, labeled, then packed.
Every unit is tested, not a sample
We measure insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) on every precon, patchcord and pigtail before packing. Units that miss the targets do not ship.
